IMG Academy Brand Art

As part of 160over90’s brand development for IMG, I was brought in to develop effects styles and motion mechanics for the scope of this new campaign. These effects included type treatments, distortion styles with varying levels of intensity, and color palettes.

After the design team lead the initial phase of brand art, I took a pass at this key art image to rethink the design from a motion point of view. The result is a digital-glitch inspired shredding effect that is flexible enough to work with typography and dynamic enough to work with any image with minimal customization by hand.

Later I created a kit of motion mechanics for typography and logo animations. These served as templates for iterating supers and endtags for the series of videos that followed the campaign. A sample of that work is below.
